What's new...

Our latest project is a Cootie Catcher (Origami Fortune Teller). These bring back fond memories from when I was young and I and my children have had a great time making them together. They are really easy, and kids of all ages can have loads of laughs inventing funny, cryptic or cheeky sayings to write as fortunes. They are a quick and fun way to spend a rainy afternoon. See how we made it here:

Once again we'd like to recommend the excellent Ideas in Paper ; if you want top quality paper and card for your craft projects, that's the place to get it! They've always got great special offers on too - right now they have a lovely floral effect cardmaking pad, which has 50 sheets including embossed card, floral effect vellum, and printed floral papers for just £4! We've got one, and we love it.

Use the menu bar at the top to have a look around - you'll find lots of exciting projects, instructions and ideas for things you can make and do! We've also got a Google Search option at the top of this page, so you can search our site from the home page. There's projects here for all ages, from preschool to pensioner, so if you need something to occupy a small child for an afternoon, something for a school project, or just something different to do with an afternoon off work, you'll find it here. We will be adding to the site on a regular basis, and if there's any ideas you'd like to suggest we try, feel free to email us and let us know. We'll also try and add seasonal ideas, such as Mother's Day projects and the like. We're also planning some science based projects too. Thanks for visiting us!

It is recommended that before you start any project you collect all the materials needed and protect yourself by wearing an old shirt or apron, and gloves if required (tie-dying,for example). Also protect the surface you are working on with newspaper, we did not use newspaper when we took the photos as it would have made it harder to see what was going on.
